Thandel To Debut Early On OTT: After earning over Rs 100 Crore at the worldwide box office, Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's recent romantic action drama titled Thandel, is continuing to run successfully across the theatres. Co-written by Karthik Theeda and directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Thandel movie is the first Rs 100 Crore film for the Akkineni's and the second consecutive hit for the director.

Thandel movie was made on a budget of about Rs 75 Crore and Naga Chaitanya had been waiting for a solid success like this for the last five years. He shed his inhibitions and underwent acting workshops to become 'Thandel Raju,' a fisherman.

Thandel Synopsis

Thandel Raju and his team of fishermen drift away and enter Pakistani waters during their fishing trip despite Satya's plea to quit fishing. They decide to get married after that one trip, but Raju and his team are held captive at a Pakistani jail. Bujji Thalli's unwavering love, courage and strength until the moment of reunion is all about Thandel, dealt beautifully with deep romantic narration, elevated music, and stunning visuals.

Thandel OTT Release Update

The movie is running steadily at the ticket windows albeit to decreased collection post the second weekend. However, the makers have made great profits from the film and are almost likely to give a go-ahead for the OTT release. Thandel movie's digital streaming rights are with Netflix and the movie is rumoured to start streaming from March 7. There is no official confirmation of the same as yet, however.

Thandel Cast & Crew

Apart from Naga Chaitanya as Raju and Sai Pallavi as Satya AKA Bujji Thalli, the movie stars Kalpalatha, Karunakaran, Prakash Belawadi, Mahesh Achanta, and Parvateesam among others in prominent roles.

Bunny Vasu and Allu Aravind produced the movie under the Geetha Arts banners. Naveen Nooli and Shamdat Sainudeen worked as the film's editor and cinematographer. Karthik Theeda co-wrote the movie along with the director, Chandoo Mondeti. Devi Sri Prasad composed the film's entire background score and music.
