Thandel Theatrical Business & Break-even Target: Naga Chaitanya-Sai Pallavi's Film Sold Out For A GOOD Deal
Thandel Theatrical Business Value: Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's romantic survival drama directed by Chandoo Mondeti is titled 'Thandel.' The movie is gearing up for a grand theatrical debut worldwide on February 7. Thandel will also be released in Tamil and Hindi versions along with the original.
Naga Chaitanya looked his best as Thandel Raju and his hard work to get into the skin of the character he played is visible throughout every frame. The theatrical trailer that was dropped recently amplified the expectations for this Sai Pallavi-starrer. The movie charts the journey of a fisherman who enters Pakistan waters and becomes captive. His love for Bujji Thalli and vice versa, her perseverance and commitment are shown in a cinematic way with complimenting music and score by Devi Sri Prasad.
Thandel Theatrical Business
Despite a slew of flops, Naga Chaitanya, who has been struggling to have a foothold in Tollywood as a successful actor, has managed to close a decent pre-release theatrical deal. The movie's theatrical trailer and audio songs have already generated enough buzz for a noticeable opening at the box office.
Here's the detail about Thandel's theatrical business (estimates)
Andhra: Rs 13 Crore
Andhra & Telangana: Rs 27.5 Crore
Total Worldwide Business: Rs 40 Crore
Break-even: Rs 40 Crore plus
If the movie earns a positive response after its premiere, Naga Chaitanya will come back to the much-awaited success track and the movie will emerge victorious.
Karthik Theeda co-wrote the movie along with the director Chandoo Mondeti. The movie carries high hopes as Chandoo scored his career's biggest hit, a pan-India success with 'Karthikeya 2.' Shamdutt Sainudeen worked as the cinematographer and Naveen Nooli worked as the editor.
