In their third collaboration, Naga Chaitanya played a fisherman who enters Pakistan waters with his team only to get arrested by them for over a year. Naga Chaitanya joined hands with Sai Pallavi for the second time. The movie opened to highly positive reviews and is showing unanimous strength all over at the ticket windows. Within India, the movie made Rs 40 Crore in three days from the three versions it was released.

Thandel Synopsis

Thandel Raju and his team of fishermen drift away and enter Pakistani waters during their fishing trip despite Satya's plea to quit fishing. They decide to get married after that one trip, but Raju and his team are held captive at a Pakistani jail. Bujji Thalli's unwavering love, her courage and strength until the moment of reunion are all about Thandel, dealt beautifully with deep romantic narration, elevated music, and stunning visuals.

For Naga Chaitanya, the movie Thandel paid off as he invested a lot more than his previous films into the characterization and getting the acting part right. For Thandel, he also tooked a hiked remuneration of Rs 15 Crore. The movie is not only the highest-opener for the 'Love Story' actor but also is his first Rs 50 Crore film and so on. Within the first three days, the movie made Rs 62.37 Crore from three languages across the worldwide box office.
