The Raja Saab Teaser Released: The teaser of The Raja Saab, the upcoming Telugu film starring Prabhas, was unveiled on Monday, June 16. Written and directed by Maruthi, the film blends elements of romantic comedy and horror fantasy, and is scheduled to release in theaters on December 5, 2025. The teaser was released a day after a brief pre-teaser offered viewers an initial look at the film's tone and setting. Check out the teaser below:

The Raja Saab features Prabhas in a dual role, though the teaser doesn't reveal much about it. The storyline follows the protagonist's attempt to resolve financial troubles by eyeing his family's old estate, which appears to be central to the film's unfolding mystery. The film is set against the backdrop of an old and haunted bungalow, adding a layer of spookiness to the narrative.

Prabhas Teams Up With Maruthi; Film Set For Multilingual Release

Joining Prabhas in key roles are Malavika Mohanan, who is making her Telugu debut, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar. The cast also includes Zarina Wahab, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Samuthirakani, VTV Ganesh, and others.

This project marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and director Maruthi. The idea for the film reportedly originated in 2022 when Maruthi pitched the script to Prabhas during the actor's ongoing commitments to Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD. Despite his packed schedule, Prabhas gave the nod, and the film quietly went into production in October 2022.

Initially referred to as Raja Deluxe and briefly considered for titles like Royal and Ambassador, the film was officially titled The Raja Saab in January 2024. The title announcement coincided with the Sankranti festival. While DVV Entertainment was initially attached to the project, it later moved to People Media Factory, with production helmed by T. G. Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibotla.

Thaman S has composed the music for the film, while Karthik Palani handled the cinematography and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao took charge of the editing. Distributed by B4U Motion Pictures and AA Films, The Raja Saab is slated for a multilingual release, including dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

With the teaser now out, viewers get a first look at what promises to be a genre-blending entertainer anchored by superstar Prabhas.
