Ustaad Bhagat Singh Update: Key Milestone Achieved In Pawan Kalyan's Film With Gabbar Singh Director

Ustaad Bhagat Singh Update: Despite his packed political calendar, Pawan Kalyan has reportedly completed the climax shoot for his upcoming film Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The update was shared by film industry tracker Taran Adarsh on X (formerly Twitter), noting that the shoot was wrapped even as the actor juggles his responsibilities as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Directed by Harish Shankar, Ustaad Bhagat Singh marks a reunion between the filmmaker and Pawan Kalyan after their 2012 hit Gabbar Singh. Backing the film are producers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers. The final leg of shooting reportedly took place in Hyderabad, with actress Sreeleela also present during the schedule.

Initially announced as a remake of the 2016 Tamil film Theri, the project experienced delays due to Pawan Kalyan's political engagements. During the production pause, the script was revised, and director Harish Shankar later confirmed that the current version is no longer a direct remake but a fresh script inspired by the original premise.

In Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Pawan Kalyan plays a police officer. The film's technical crew includes music composer Devi Sri Prasad, cinematographer Ayananka Bose, editor Ujjwal Kulkarni, and production designer Anand Sai. Screenplay duties are handled by K. Dasharath, with additional writing contributions from Chandra Mohan.

The film's completion of its climax portion indicates that the production is now in its final stages, although an official release date has not yet been announced.

Post Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Pawan Kalyan Advances with Ustaad Bhagat Singh and OG

Pawan Kalyan's period action film Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 - Sword vs Spirit was released in theaters on July 24, 2025. Set in the 17th-century Mughal Empire, the film features him in the role of a warrior named Veera Mallu. Despite high expectations, the film opened to largely negative reviews from critics.

Meanwhile, another project from the actor, OG, directed by Sujeeth, is currently in post-production and is slated for a theatrical release on September 25, 2025.

With Ustaad Bhagat Singh moving closer to completion, it remains to be seen how the film will fit into Pawan Kalyan's packed schedule and evolving filmography.
