Apsara Awards 2025: The Zee Apsara Awards 2025, commemorating two decades of Zee Telugu's journey, is scheduled to air this Saturday, May 24, at 5:30 PM on Zee Telugu. This edition of the awards is particularly significant, as it marks the channel's 20th anniversary and brings together leading figures from both the Telugu film and television industries for an evening that aims to honour impactful female achievers and celebrate artistic talent.

According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, the event-hosted by popular entertainers Sudheer and Ravi-was recorded before a lively audience and featured a blend of cultural performances, award presentations, and tributes. The show focused on recognising women who have shaped and influenced the world around them, whether in cinema, entrepreneurship, or social service.

A major highlight of the evening was the appearance of veteran actress Jayapradha, who joined actress Aishwarya Rajesh and filmmaker Anil Ravipudi to revisit key moments from their film Sankrantiki Vastunnam. Actress Amala Akkineni also took to the stage, delivering a dance performance and sharing insights into her animal welfare initiatives, along with personal anecdotes involving her husband Nagarjuna and sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil.

In one segment, actress Jayasudha received a saree featuring autographs collected from fans. The event also paid tribute to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu's journey in cinema through a dance sequence followed by a celebratory cake-cutting moment recognising her career milestones.

The awards show included the recognition of Padma Shri awardee Saalumarada Thimmakka, a 114-year-old environmentalist known for planting over 8,000 trees. Business leader Sailaja Kiron, Managing Director of Margadarsi Chit Funds, was presented with the Mahila Margadarsi award in recognition of her achievements in the financial sector.

The evening also saw the attendance of numerous film and television personalities, including Samyuktha Menon, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Murali Mohan, Annapurna, Swapna Dutt, Priyanka Dutt, Jeevitha Rajashekar, Suma Kanakala, Shivani Rajasekhar, Niharika Konidela, Kona Venkat, Anasuya, Rajitha, Pragathi, and director Nandini Reddy.
