Chennai Love Story Box Office Collection Worldwide Day 2: Starring Sri Gouri Priya and Karan Abbavaram in the lead, Chennai Love Story has been having an impressive impact at the box office, while many big-budget films are struggling to pull audiences to cinemas. Released on July 24, the Telugu-language romantic drama opened to mostly positive reactions from fans and critics alike, leading to strong footfalls in the theatres.

As expected, Chennai Love Story did its magic on Saturday (yesterday) as well, benefitting from the weekend hype despite the Jana Nayagan craze across the South.

Chennai Love Story Opening Day Collection (Day 1) Worldwide

Directed by Ravi Nambupuri, Chennai Love Story follows the love story of Nivedita (Gouri Priya) and Steven (Kiran Abbavaram). After her fiancé breaks up with her on their marriage day, Nivedita's life falls apart. Fate creates its magic when her friends take her to Chennai, where she meets an aspiring filmmaker, Steven, who heals her and helps her rediscover herself.

Amid high anticipation and strong pre-release buzz, Chennai Love Story kickstarted its theatrical journey on a promising note. Not just in the Telugu market, the film took over the overseas belt as well. With an opening day net of ₹4.95 Cr, the Gouri Priya and Kiran Abbavaram starrer went on to rake in ₹5.69 Cr India gross on day 1, as reported by Sacnilk. Overseas, the film grossed ₹2.60 Cr, taking the worldwide numbers to ₹8.29 Cr on its opening day.

Chennai Love Story Movie 2 Days Box Office Collection (Saturday) - Worldwide

Riding high on positive word of mouth, Chennai Love Story registered a noticeable jump in numbers on Saturday (Day 2). According to Sacnilk, the film witnessed a solid 11.1% growth on day 2 from Friday figures at the domestic box office and added around ₹5.50 Cr across 1,762 shows, pushing the total net collection to ₹10.45 Cr, while the India figures are reported to be at ₹12.02 Cr in 2 days.

With an overseas earning of ₹2.00 Cr on Day 2, the movie took its total gross to ₹4.60 Cr so far. The 2-day worldwide figures are now estimated to be at ₹16.62 Cr.
