Dacoit Box Office Day 3: Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur Film Nears ₹20 Cr India Net After Opening Weekend

Dacoit Box Office Collection: Dacoit: A Love Story, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, has completed its first three days in theatres with a steady performance at the box office. As the film enters Day 4 (Monday, April 13), attention shifts to how it sustains momentum beyond the initial weekend.

The action romantic drama, written by Adivi Sesh and directed by debutant Shaneil Deo, was released in theatres on April 10, 2026. Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, the film opened to mixed critical reception but has maintained a largely steady run over its first weekend.

As per box office tracking site Sacnilk, the film collected ₹6.40 crore (India net) on Day 3 (Sunday), taking its total India net earnings to ₹19.80 crore. The India gross collection currently stands at ₹23.12 crore. In the overseas market, the film added approximately ₹2.25 crore on its third day, pushing the international gross to ₹11.65 crore. This brings the film's worldwide gross collection to ₹34.77 crore by the end of its opening weekend.

The day-wise performance reflects a relatively stable trend. The film opened with ₹6.55 crore on Day 1 (Friday), followed by ₹6.85 crore on Day 2 (Saturday), and ₹6.40 crore on Day 3 (Sunday). While the number of shows increased to 4,588 on Sunday, occupancy levels saw a noticeable dip compared to Saturday.

In terms of language-wise collections on Day 3, the Telugu version contributed ₹4.80 crore, while the Hindi version added ₹1.60 crore. Despite being released in both languages, the film's primary share continues to come from the Telugu market.

The film also features Anurag Kashyap in a key role, alongside supporting performances by Prakash Raj, Sunil, Zayn Marie Khan, and Atul Kulkarni. Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda under Annapurna Studios, the project brings together a technical team that includes cinematographer Danush Bhaskar, music composer Bheems Ceciroleo, and editor Kodati Pavan Kalyan.

Dacoit: A Love Story follows the story of Haridas, a convict seeking revenge against his former partner Saraswati after a betrayal leads to his imprisonment. Following his release, he becomes entangled in a series of criminal activities, with his personal vendetta intersecting with a broader chain of events. The narrative explores the tension between past relationships and present choices as the two characters cross paths again.

With the film moving into the weekday phase, its Monday performance will be crucial in determining its hold at the box office after the opening weekend.
