Hangman OTT Release Date: Actor Brahmaji's long-delayed Telugu film Hangman is finally set to reach audiences after spending years without a theatrical release. Although the film was completed several years ago, it remained unreleased due to multiple reasons. Now, the movie is preparing for its debut on an OTT platform, giving viewers their first opportunity to watch the project.

Hangman is a mystery crime thriller that explores the life of an executioner. The film examines the emotional and psychological burden carried by a man whose profession requires him to carry out court-ordered death sentences.

Brahmaji, who has built a long career in Telugu cinema through a mix of supporting and lead roles, takes on the title character in the film. Over the years, the actor has appeared in several notable projects across different genres and is known for balancing comic, dramatic and character-driven performances. In Hangman, he steps into a more serious role, portraying an executioner coping with the emotional and psychological impact of his profession.

Apart from Brahmaji, the cast includes Vinay Nallakadi, Bunny Abiran, Rama Rao Jadhav, Sunny Palle, Dhruva Vaayu and Yennengee in important roles. The film has been directed by Vihaan, with cinematography by Uday Gurrala. Vinay Nallakadi also served as the casting director, while the sound department includes Suraj Bardia and Sandeep Kumar. The project has been backed by Ajay Mysore Productions and Chlorofylm.

Despite being completed in 2020, Hangman never secured a theatrical release. As the years passed, the film remained unreleased before finally securing a direct OTT premiere.

The makers have now confirmed that Hangman will premiere exclusively on Sun NXT on July 3, 2026. The streaming platform announced the release with a promotional teaser highlighting the film's central mystery and questioning whether the protagonist will uncover the truth or allow it to remain hidden forever.

With its digital debut now locked in, Hangman will finally become available to audiences around six years after it was completed. The film combines crime, mystery and psychological drama, with its story centred on the life of an executioner, and it will be available to stream on Sun NXT starting July 3.
