Karuppu Telugu States Box Office Collection Day 6: Suriya's Veerabhadrudu Grosses ₹20 Cr In AP/Telangana
Karuppu Telugu States Box Office Collection Day 6: The Telugu-dubbed version of Karuppu, released as Veerabhadrudu, has continued its steady theatrical run across the Telugu states after completing six days in cinemas. Starring Suriya in the lead role, the fantasy action drama hit theatres worldwide on May 15 and has reportedly crossed the breakeven mark in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana within its opening week.

According to trade tracker Jerin Georgekutty, the film collected approximately Rs 20.36 crore gross from the Telugu states in its first six days. The distributor share is said to be around Rs 10.33 crore, while the theatrical rights were reportedly valued at Rs 7 crore. Based on the reported figures, the film has already entered the profit zone for distributors in the region.
The tracker further stated that the film's recovery rate stands at nearly 148 per cent, with an estimated distributor profit of around Rs 3.33 crore after six days of theatrical run. The tracker also highlighted the film's hold during working days and stated that Day 7 was continuing on a strong note.
Among the two Telugu states, Telangana has contributed the larger share so far with approximately Rs 10.64 crore gross collections. Andhra Pradesh follows closely with around Rs 9.72 crore. In terms of language-wise performance, the Telugu version has accounted for the majority of the revenue with about Rs 19.06 crore gross, while the Tamil version running in the same territories has added roughly Rs 1.30 crore.
Karuppu Story, Cast and Crew
Directed by RJ Balaji, the film blends courtroom drama with fantasy elements. The story revolves around a guardian deity who takes the form of a lawyer and becomes involved in a corruption case connected to a young girl awaiting a liver transplant. Apart from Suriya, the cast includes Trisha Krishnan, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada and Supreeth Reddy in key roles.
The screenplay was developed by RJ Balaji along with Rathna Kumar, Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar. The project has been backed by Dream Warrior Pictures, with S R Prakash Babu and S R Prabu serving as producers.
The technical crew includes cinematographer G. K. Vishnu, editor R. Kalaivanan and music composer Sai Abhyankkar. The Telugu dubbed version was released under the title Veerabhadrudu and has been running simultaneously alongside the Tamil original in several centres across the Telugu states.
With the film now entering its second weekend, trade observers will be closely watching whether the current momentum sustains through the coming days amid competition from newer releases.
