Karuppu Telugu States Box Office Collection Day 9: Suriya Film Continues Strong Run After Grossing ₹25 Crore

Karuppu Telugu States Box Office Collection: The Telugu dubbed version of Karuppu has continued its theatrical run on a steady note in the Telugu states. Headlined by Suriya, the fantasy action drama released worldwide on May 15, 2026, and has now completed nine days in cinemas. As of May 24, Day 10 collections are currently underway, with trade trackers indicating continued momentum on Sunday.

According to figures shared by box office tracker Jerin Georgekutty through an X post published on May 24, the film has collected around ₹25.47 crore gross from the Telugu states in its first nine days. The distributor share is estimated to be approximately ₹12.72 crore.

The tracker also stated that the film's theatrical rights in the Telugu market were valued at around ₹7 crore. Based on the reported numbers, the film has already crossed the recovery mark and generated an estimated distributor profit of ₹5.72 crore so far.

The report further mentioned that the film registered an "excellent" second Saturday with nearly ₹2.07 crore gross collection. Trade updates also suggested that the film continued to record strong Sunday trends across several centres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Among the two Telugu states, Telangana has contributed the higher share with approximately ₹13.22 crore gross, while Andhra Pradesh accounted for around ₹12.25 crore. In terms of language-wise performance, the Telugu dubbed version reportedly contributed ₹23.99 crore, while the Tamil version earned about ₹1.48 crore from the same territories.

Karuppu Plot, Cast And Crew

Directed by RJ Balaji, the film blends fantasy and courtroom drama elements. The Telugu dubbed version has been released under the title Veerabhadrudu. The story revolves around a guardian deity who takes the form of a lawyer and becomes involved in a legal battle linked to corruption within the judicial system, while also attempting to help a young girl awaiting a liver transplant.

Apart from Suriya, the film features Trisha Krishnan and RJ Balaji in key roles. The supporting cast includes Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Anagha Maya Ravi, and Supreeth Reddy.

The film has been produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, with S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu serving as producers. The screenplay was developed by RJ Balaji along with Rathna Kumar, Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan, and Karan Aravind Kumar.

The technical crew includes cinematographer G. K. Vishnu, editor R. Kalaivanan, and music composer Sai Abhyankkar. Action choreography for the film was handled by Vikram Mor.

With Sunday collections still in progress, industry observers will now be watching whether the film can maintain its hold in the Telugu market during the second week.
