Maa Inti Bangaaram ended its first weekend on a strong note at the box office. The film collected ₹10.10 crore net in India on Day 3, its first Sunday, across 2,965 shows. With this, its total India net collection stood at ₹23.10 crore after three days.

The Sunday jump gave the film its best single-day number so far. It also pushed the total India gross collection to ₹26.69 crore. The film had already shown growth on Saturday, but Sunday confirmed that weekend footfalls had strengthened across key centres.

Maa Inti Bangaaram Day 3 box office collection

On Day 3, Maa Inti Bangaaram earned ₹10.10 crore net in India. This was a 32.0% rise from its Saturday net collection of ₹7.65 crore. The increase came with higher show count and stronger occupancy, both of which helped the film close its opening weekend with momentum.

The film recorded 53.4% occupancy on Sunday, its highest so far. On Friday, occupancy stood at 31.9%. It improved to 44.6% on Saturday. The Sunday figure suggested that audience turnout improved steadily over the weekend, rather than depending only on opening-day curiosity.

Day India Net Shows Occupancy
Day 1, 1st Friday ₹5.35 crore 2,658 31.9%
Day 2, 1st Saturday ₹7.65 crore 2,591 44.6%
Day 3, 1st Sunday ₹10.10 crore 2,965 53.4%

The show count also rose on Sunday. The film played across 2,965 shows on Day 3, compared with 2,591 shows on Saturday and 2,658 shows on Friday. This helped it maximise the weekend advantage, especially as occupancy crossed the 50% mark.

First weekend total crossed ₹41 crore worldwide

The film’s worldwide gross collection reached ₹41.79 crore by the end of Day 3. This included ₹26.69 crore gross from India and ₹15.10 crore gross from overseas markets. For a film in its first weekend, the overseas number added notable weight to the total.

Overseas, Maa Inti Bangaaram collected ₹4.00 crore gross on Sunday. That took its overseas total to ₹15.10 crore. The overseas contribution accounted for more than one-third of the film’s worldwide weekend gross, which made the international market an important part of its opening performance.

The India net total of ₹23.10 crore came from a clear upward trend. The film opened at ₹5.35 crore net on Friday. It then grew to ₹7.65 crore net on Saturday. Sunday’s ₹10.10 crore net total gave the film a healthy weekend curve.

Such a pattern usually matters because it shows how the film moved beyond opening-day turnout. A Friday number can depend heavily on advance bookings and core fans. A Saturday and Sunday rise often indicates wider audience interest, especially among family crowds and casual viewers.

Sunday growth gave the film a stronger hold

The 32.0% growth from Saturday to Sunday was the key talking point. The film did not flatten after its second day. Instead, it found a higher audience base on the final day of the weekend. That gave it a better platform before the weekday test began.

Occupancy was another important signal. A 53.4% occupancy on Sunday showed that screens were not just added for volume. The higher show count was backed by stronger turnout. That balance helped the film improve its daily number without relying only on expansion.

The weekend total also placed attention on Monday’s performance. For most theatrical releases, the first weekday decides whether the opening weekend can convert into a stable run. A sharp drop would reduce momentum. A reasonable hold would suggest that word-of-mouth had begun to support the film.

At this stage, the film’s strongest numbers came from the weekend window. Friday gave it a base. Saturday expanded that base. Sunday delivered the best day so far. The three-day trend kept the film in a positive position, especially with the worldwide gross already nearing ₹42 crore.

The coming weekdays will show how much of this demand remains after the weekend rush. For now, Maa Inti Bangaaram closed its first three days with ₹23.10 crore India net and ₹41.79 crore worldwide gross, backed by steady daily growth and improved theatre occupancy.
