Mrithyunjay Box Office Collection: The Telugu action thriller Mrithyunjay, featuring Sree Vishnu and Reba Monica John in the lead roles, has completed three days in theatres and entered its fourth day of theatrical run on March 9. The film, which released on March 6, 2026, opened alongside several other releases, with its first weekend box office numbers now becoming available.

According to box office tracking platform Sacnilk, Mrithyunjay has collected an estimated ₹3.16 crore in net collections across India by the end of Day 3. The figure represents the film's performance during its opening weekend, covering the period from Friday through Sunday.
The film began its theatrical journey with a Day 1 collection of ₹1 crore on Friday. On its opening day, the film was screened across 571 shows and registered an average occupancy of 12.8 percent. As is often the case with weekend releases, the numbers saw a rise on Saturday.
On Day 2, which was the first Saturday after release, Mrithyunjay recorded ₹1.35 crore in net collections. The film's occupancy increased to 19.2 percent while the number of shows also rose to 622 across theatres. The Saturday jump helped push the cumulative total beyond the ₹2 crore mark.
However, the film saw a decline on Sunday. Day 3 collections stood at ₹0.81 crore, bringing the opening weekend total to ₹3.16 crore. On Sunday, the film ran in approximately 642 shows and recorded an average occupancy of 16.8 percent. With these figures, the film closed its opening weekend with modest overall numbers.
Across the first three days, Mrithyunjay was screened in 1,835 shows in total, reflecting its current theatrical footprint. The coming weekdays are expected to provide a clearer picture of how the film holds up in cinemas following its initial weekend run.

Mrithyunjay is positioned as an investigative action thriller. The narrative centres on a mysterious death that authorities initially classify as natural. However, a man close to the case refuses to accept the official explanation. His search for answers gradually turns into a deeper investigation, uncovering hidden truths, dangerous circumstances, and emotional stakes connected to the incident.
The film stars Sree Vishnu alongside Reba Monica John, with the supporting cast including Baby Uha, Sudharshan, Raccha Ravi, Ayyappa, Sijju, Aishwarya, Balaaditya, Krishna Koushik, Nandha Gopal, and Mrinchi Madhavi.
Written and directed by Sri Hussain Sha Kiran, the project is produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Vinay Chilakapati. The film's cinematography is handled by Vidya Sagar Chinta, while the music has been composed by Kaala Bhairava. Editing duties are carried out by Sreekar Prasad.
