The trend in Peddi box office collection shows strong opening day numbers, a sharp drop on Friday, and a modest Saturday recovery with better occupancy. Despite fewer shows on Day 3 than on Day 2, higher seat filling helped grow net earnings, suggesting word-of-mouth support among cinema audiences.

Peddi Criticism To Affect Numbers?

The director, Buchi Babu Sana, issued a statement on social media after the audience criticised the makers for 'objectifying' the female lead, Janhvi Kapoor. He said that the team took the feedback seriously, offering an apology on X and Instagram.

"As a filmmaker, I believe cinema should entertain, inspire, and connect with audiences. It should never make anyone feel uncomfortable or disrespected. We have heard the feedback regarding certain scenes in Peddi and have taken it seriously.
I have always had immense respect for women, both on and off screen, and it was never our intention to objectify or disrespect any female character. If any part of the film has been perceived that way, we respect those sentiments, understand the concerns being raised, and sincerely apologize," he wrote.

The criticism didn't have an impact on the numbers, but the film faced flak for certain scenes featuring Janhvi Kapoor.
