According to a tweet shared by Sumit Kadel, Peddi witnessed a 'monstrous' start at the worldwide box office and is expected to enter the coveted Rs 100cr club today. He emphasised that the opening day collection of the movie will be over Rs 120cr including premieres. He also emphasised that Peddi will be making a collection of Rs 70cr from Telugu version alone.

Will Peddi Beat RRR Worldwide Collection On Day 1?

Interestingly, Peddi has been facing comparisons with Ram Charan starrer RRR with fans hoping if it can recreate the latter's magic at the box office. However, as per the early trends, despite a grand start at the box office, Peddi will fail to beat the opening day worldwide collection of RRR which happens to be Rs 223cr.

Talking about Peddi during an event, director Buchi Babu Sana stated, "Peddi is an emotional journey. It is about how a sportsperson earns identity and respect and influences the people around him. Peddi faces setbacks, falls several times, but rises stronger every time. How he overcomes those challenges forms the heart of the story. Even after watching it so many times, the final 40 to 50 minutes still make me emotional. I have cried several times while watching those portions. My friends who have seen the film told me that I have made a good film and assured me that audiences will connect with it".
