In a tweet going viral on social media, a London based self proclaimed critic Umair Sandhu gave Ustaad Bhagat Singh a rating of 4 stars and wrote, "First Review #UstaadBhagatSingh from Censor ! It is a #PawanKalyan vehicle and the actor is the Big Boss here. You cannot imagine anyone else doing what he does. He Stole the Show. #Sreeleela is looking HOT 🔥. The film has the masala to work big time with the masses".

On the other hand, a critic from UAE Pakistan gave the Pawan Kalyan starrer a rating of 1.5 stars and wrote, "#UBSFirstReview 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. A typical Mass-masala movie without any entertainment. also having, lots of over-the-top nonsense!"

Interestingly, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is witnessing a box office clash with Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar 2 (Dhurandhar The Revenge). Talking about the same, directed Harish Shankar stated, "Aditya Dhar is a superior filmmaker. We are not really competing on a pan-India level. Also, the release date is not in my hands".
