Veerabhadrudu Box Office Collection Opening Weekend: Suriya's Film Records Career-Best Gross, Beats '24'

Veerabhadrudu Box Office Collection: Karuppu, released in Telugu as Veerabhadrudu, has completed its opening weekend theatrical run with strong numbers coming from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The film, starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, hit theatres worldwide on May 15, 2026, and has now entered Day 4 on Monday, May 18, continuing its run in Telugu-speaking regions.

According to a box office update shared by Tollywood Box Office on X on May 18, the Telugu version Veerabhadrudu collected an estimated gross of Rs 12.80 crore across AP and Telangana during its opening weekend. The reported breakup includes around Rs 5.60 crore gross from the Nizam region, while Andhra Pradesh, including Ceeded areas, contributed approximately Rs 7.20 crore gross.

The figures shared by the tracking handle suggest that the film has registered the biggest opening weekend for Suriya in the Telugu market, surpassing the opening weekend gross reportedly recorded by 24 in the Telugu market.

Veerabhadrudu Cast And Crew Details

Directed by RJ Balaji, Karuppu is a fantasy action drama backed by Dream Warrior Pictures. Apart from Suriya and Trisha, the cast includes Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada and Supreeth Reddy in key roles.

The screenplay for the film has been co-written by RJ Balaji along with Rathna Kumar, Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar. The technical crew includes cinematographer G. K. Vishnu, editor R. Kalaivanan and music composer Sai Abhyankkar.
