The development came to light after Chiranjeevi shared a note on social media on March 26, expressing gratitude to the doctor for his "timely and skilful surgery." He described the procedure as reassuring during what had initially been a moment of concern for the family. In the same thread, Upasana Konidela also acknowledged the efforts of the medical team, thanking both Dr Sudhakar Prasad and another doctor involved in the treatment.

Minor Injury on Peddi Sets, Team Issues Clarification

A day earlier, on March 25, the makers of Peddi released an official update after reports about the incident began circulating online. The statement clarified that the actor had sustained a minor injury to his left eye during filming and had undergone a small medical procedure. It further assured that he was recovering well and would resume shooting without delays.

The team emphasised that there was no cause for alarm and requested the public to avoid speculation. Filming is currently underway in Hyderabad, with production continuing as scheduled. The makers are also expected to release a teaser of the film on March 27, coinciding with Ram Charan's birthday.

Who Is Dr Sudhakar Prasad?

Dr Sudhakar Prasad is a plastic surgeon based in Hyderabad, with over three decades of experience in the field. He holds an MBBS degree, along with a Master's in General Surgery and a super-specialisation (M.Ch.) in Plastic Surgery. His practice covers both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures.
