As per the complaint, Vishnu Priya allegedly posted explicit and semi-nude content on Instagram, including material made available through the platform's subscription feature. The student body has claimed that such content could have a negative influence on younger audiences and may be inappropriate for a public figure with a significant following. They have also questioned the legality of monetising such content, stating that collecting money through subscription-based access to such posts may warrant scrutiny under existing laws.

Police in Vijayawada have reportedly confirmed that a case has been registered and that an investigation is currently underway. Authorities are expected to examine the nature of the content and determine whether any legal provisions have been violated. Further action will reportedly depend on the findings of the inquiry.

The issue also brings attention to Instagram's subscription model, which allows creators to share exclusive content with paying subscribers. Reports indicate that Vishnu Priya had activated this feature on her account, offering access to exclusive posts for a monthly fee.
