Sreenu
Vaitla,
who

big

and
Andarivadu
with
Chiranjeevi
tried

young
hero
Manchu
Vishnuvardhan
Babu,
son
of
Padma
Shree
Dr
M
Mohanbabu.
Though
the
film
is
a
routine
commercial
formula
film,
writer
Kona
Venkat
has
done
will
to
include
the
character
of
Srihari
to
give
a
sentimental
touch
to
the
film
apart
from
good
action.
However,
in
the
process
of
giving
the
love
between
the
hero
and
heroine
a
primary
place,
the
director
has
ignored
the
villains
role.
Overall
with
all
commercial
elements
in
the
film
besides
Srihari's
performance,
Genelia's
glamour
would
help
the
film
remain
an
average
grosser.
The
Story:
Srinivasa
Rao
aka
Babloo
(played
by
Vishnu)
constantly
does
good
to
those
around
him.
He
helps
those
to
whom
life
is
the
most
unfair.
In
order
to
show
him
responsibility,
his
father
Narayana
(Chandramohan)
teams
him
up
with
Shankar
Goud
(Srihari).
Goud
runs
a
huge
mafia
and
his
opponent
is
Balloo.
Now,
Balloo's
son
(Ajay)
kills
Goud's
follower
and
acting
in
revenge,
Goud
kills
him.
This
provokes
Balloo,
who
decides
to
kill
Goud's
sister
Pooja
(Genelia).
Pooja
stays
in
Mumbai,
but
fearing
attack
on
her
by
Balloo's
men,
Goud
brings
her
to
Hyderabad.
None of Goud's workers dare to see Pooja fearing that her brother will beat them up. Fearlessly, Babloo goes to her room. Later, he even takes her to watch a film. After few such incidents, both of them fall in love with each other. At this point in the film, Goud decides to marry her to Ajay (Akash), a doctor in USA. Before this cab happen, Pooja and Babloo go to Yadagirigutta and get married with the help of Babloo's friends in presence of his family members. Balloo's men attack Pooja follwing which Balloo stops them.
Later, Pooja goes to Goud. Once, Goud's wife (Devi) comes to know that Pooja and Babloo have got married but she fears that her husband will react adversely so she chooses to keeep quiet about it. On one occasion, Goud notices Babloo teasing Pooja and severely thrashes him, not knowing that they were indeed married. Goud's close follower (Brahmaji) advises him to take Pooja to Yadagirigutta to fulfil the vow ti get her married the the US doctor.
His advice was a plan to catch Goud and Pooja for Baloo. After they follow his advice, he ,in the process, leads them to Baloo. He organizes that they be attacked by Balloo's gang. Balloo's gang beats him up and takes away Pooja. Thus, the movie ends with Babloo coming again to rescue Pooja. Soon they get married with Goud's blessing.
Plus Points:
The major plus point in the film is the power-packed performance of Srihari in a key role as heroine's brother. Genelia's glamour is another highlight of the film. Comedy by Sunil, Brahmanandam, Jayaprakash Reddy is a huge asset for the movie. Genelia, once again has acted in chivalrous role much like Bommarillu and has excelled in her performance. She looked gorgeous in the songs of the film. The action scenes and comedy scenes were perfectly shot.
Minus Points:
Though Vishnu looked slim in a couple of songs, the major drawback in him is the dialogue modulation. It is still a big question why the directors don't dub his voice. Moreover, Vishnu needs to improve his body language a lot. He had to emote well in all the scenes. Being the son of a versatile artiste, who is known as a dialogue king in Telugu film industry, it is unfortunate that Vishnu could not modulate his voice properly. Another drawback in the film is the villain's characterisation.
Conclusion:
Though the shooting and post-production formalities were completed long ago, 'Dhee' failed to see the light of release. It was slated for release some where in February but was delayed due to several technical problems. There were rumours that the producer left the project midway and director Sreenu Vaitla in order to avoid his image spoiled, invested some money and finally sought the cooperation from Suresh Productions.
