Krishna Review

Ravi Teja is known for playing good roles with mass image. Once again he has performed excellently with perfect comedy timing. Akula Siva, who had provided story and dialogues for films like Lakshmi and Tulasi, has once again proved that he can script good commercial entertainers. DVV Danaiah, who has produced a Blockbuster like Desamuduru during last Sankranthi, has again come out with another big commercial entertainer in the form of Krishna under the able direction of VV Vinayak.

Krishna (Ravi Teja) completes his MSc computers and works in a big corporate firm with 40k salary. However, he sacrifices his job for another person, who has so many family problems. After losing the job, he moves casually with friends for some time in Vijayawada. He happens to see Sandhya (Trisha) and loses his heart. However, he doesn't know whether she is in love with him. She suddenly disappears one day and Krishna finds from her brother Bobby (Brahmanandam) that she is in Hyderabad with her father Shinde (Sayaji Shinde). Krishna takes Bobby to Hyderabad and finds that Sandhya's life is in danger from the rivals of Shinde, as the latter sent Jakka (Mukhul Dev) to jail in rape and murder case. However, Jakka, with his influence comes out of jail and kills the complainant Seshu (Bharani), father of the girl, whom he raped and the lawyer (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Jakka then goes to Shinde's house to kill Sandhya but falls flat to her beauty and wants to marry her. So, Shinde fears Jakka. Krishna teaches Jakka a lesson with the help of all his friends and marries Sandhya. The film ends on a happy note.

PLUS: The perfect comedy timing, good ease in dances and action scenes, has proved once again that Ravi Teja has a perfect grip on all these talents. At the same time, he improved his body language a lot and the audience can find only Krishna's character and not Ravi Teja on the screen. Trisha has not much role to play but to fill the glamour slot. Though there is no open exposure, she appeares too romantic in this movie. Especially she is so cute during the dance numbers. Another notable performance in the film is by Brahmanandam. Camera work by Chota K Naidu, screenplay by Vinayak, music by Chakri, dialogues by Akula Siva and action by Ram-Lakshman are the highlights of the movie.

MINUS: Though the director has made the film a good entertainer, some scenes can not reach the audience's logic. Especially the hero, who is buried in a depth of some six to eight feet, coming out of the grave is beyond logic. Had the director given little more importance to Sayaji Shinde character, it would have been a little more better. Except for small mistakes here and there, which are negligible in nature, the film is good in total.

REMARKS: The first half of the film is completely entertaining. Brahmanandam has got a very good opportunity to prove his acting talents and after a long time, the audience are able to enjoy the real comedy in him. In fact, the entire first half is run on comedy base. Newcomer Mukhul Dev is good as villain, while Jayaprakash Reddy has played his side kick in a humorous character. Other artists including Sayaji Shinde, Chandramohan, Sudha, Sana, MS Narayana, Sunil and others have done complete justice to their roles. Production values of Lakshmi Narasimha Visuals are okay.
