AR Murugadoss" recent movie 7th Sense has been well received by the Telugu audience. This time however he turns producer for a film that is directed by Saravanan. The film is Journey, which is a dubbed version of Tamil movie Engeyum Eppodhum. Read on for the review.
The story is actually about the love of two couples – Sharwanand & Ananya and Jai & Anjali. Ananya has done her engineering and is now looking for a job in Hyderabad. Sharwanand lives in Vijayawada. Ananya boards a bus to meet Sharwanand. At the same time, he also boards a bus to Hyderabad to meet her. On the other end, Jai & Anajali are in love. He takes Anjali to meet his parents. They too board the same bus as Sharwanand.
Anjali & Sharawnand had met earlier and they fall in love. But they realise it only after they take their separate ways. Now they both are on their way to meet each other. There is a big and unfortunate twist in the Journey. The two buses – one coming from Hyderabad and the other coming from
Vijayawada have a head on collision. The big accident causes many deaths and injuries. The rest of the story is about the fright and agony that the ill-fated passengers go by. What happens to the love of the two lead pairs is the basis for the remaining part of the story.
Sharwanand is very impressive. He does complete justice to his role. Ananya come up with a decent performance with her cute looks and bubbly nature. Anjali is quite impressive. Jai makes a mark as the film progresses. The rest of the star cast is okay.
Performance of lead actors
There are very few negative points in the film. The stark reality of the story and lack of entertainment elements may be minus for the regular audiences.
Journey as the title suggests is all about Journey in life and not just a journey from one place to another. The director has weaved a good story with a message. The film talks about various values without being preachy.
Journey is a powerful film that looks at life in stark reality. The film is different from start to finish. The film leaves a lasting impression on your mind.
