Sevakudu – Movie Review

Director V Samudra is making his comeback with the movie Sevakudu, which has hit the screens today. His latest Telugu flick, which has a strong message to the society, boasts of Srikanth's rocking performance and interesting story and screenplay. The film, which had created a lot of curiosity among the viewers prior its release, will live up to their expectations.

Sevakudu is a romantic action movie and Srikanth's electrifying performance is the main attraction in the film. Swamy's interesting script, punch dialogues, Srikanth Deva's music and beautiful picturisation are other highlights. Superstar Krishna's presence is another big attraction in the movie.

Sevakudu is all about a young man, who tries to achieve his father's goal of changing the police system. Inspired by NTR's Bobbili Puli and Chiranjeevi's Tagore, the movie throws light on the corruption in prevailing society. The director has managed to include some of the real life incidents in the film. He has also tried to highlight the India's burning issue - illegal money in the Swiss Banks.

A head constable is disappointed over the corrupt police department. He wants to change the system, but he fails to do so. In a bid to change, he raises his son Suryam (Srikanth) in the police atmosphere instead of family atmosphere. Even Suryam realises that the society will not change unless there is a change in police system. How he brings about change in the society will form the crux of the story.

Srikanth, who has recently rocked the viewers in Devaraya, has once again delivered a brilliant performance. As an angry young man, his dialogue delivery is superb. He is also at ease in action and dance sequences.

Charmi Kaur has less scope for performance and she has done justice to the available screen space. But she surely rocks you in song sequences. She will impress you with her glamour.

As world's fifth richest man, Krishna has lived with the character, and his role and dialogues are amazing which reminds us of his dialogues in olden days. The highlight is that he delivers Mahesh Babu's dialogues like "Bhayam ante ento teliyani blood ra naadi." "Okka saari commit ayithe na maata nene vinanu."

Srikanth Deva is the main highlight in the technical front. His compositions like 'Abbayi Andhra Mirchi', 'Adugudugo Sevakudu', 'Aa Devudu Puttinchadu' are good to listen. The picturisation of these songs is also commendable.
