Akkineni Nagarjuna's latest production venture Uyyala Jampala marks the debut of Raj Tarun, Avika Gor and Virinchi Varma in Tollywood. The movie has created lot of positive buzz prior its release. Especially, the acting of Avika aka Anandi of Balika Vadhu featured in its promos have soared up viewers' expectations to the sky high. Released in theatres today, it successfully lives upto its the hype.
Uyyala Jampala is a delightful rural love tale, which is high on entertainment quotient. Raj and Avika's cute performances are the main attractions in the film. Virinchi Varma's unique screenplay and dialogues, Sunny MR's melodious music and impressive background score and Vishwa DB's beautiful picturisation are other highlights of the film. The dragging first half and abrupt climax are its big drawbacks.

Along with producer Ram Mohan P, Virinchi Varma has created a beautiful story and screenplay. But the director has failed to engage the viewers in the first half of the film that he should have made even more interesting. The second half has some of the most emotional moments, which will impress the audience. Though climax leaves a lasting impression, Viranchi could have ended the film in even better way. Uyyala Jampala Story
Suri (Raj Tharun) and Uma Devi (Avika Gor) are cousins, who share a love hate relationship. Uma falls in love with a crook. Suri rescues her when this crook traps her. Following this incident, their feelings and attitude towards each other change. Suri falls in love with her, but could not express it to her. At this juncture, her family decides her marriage with a person. What happens next will form crux of the story.
Raj Tarun’s Performance
As the hero, Raj Tarun has given a wonderful performance in his debut film. He has lived in the character to perfection. His acting is one of the main highlights in the film.
Avika Gor’s Cute Looks And Expressions
Avika Gor, who has rocked the Telugu viewers as Anandi in the TV serial Chinnari Pellikoothuru, has played the female lead and done justice to her role. As village belle, her cute looks and naughty expressions are sure to impress the film goers. Her chemistry with Raj is a treat for lovers of romance dramas.
Supporting Artistes In UJ
Virinchi Varma's characterization is very good and he has cast suitable artiste for other supporting roles in the film. Punarnavi's performance is another big strength of the film. Peela Gangadhar, Anita Chowdhary and others have also done just to their respective characters.

Uyyala Jampala has sound production elements and Sunny MR's work is the main attraction in the technical front. His song compositions are melodious and good to listen. His background score helps the director to heighten the intensity of several emotional scenes.
Other Production Values In UJ
Vishwa DB's camera work is another big strength of the movie. Marthand K Venkatesh's editing is commendable, but it could have been a better watch if he had trimmed a few scenes in the first half. Virinchi's dialogues are also among the big strengths of the film.
