Pandaga Chesko Story:
Who would really bother about the story line when it is coming from Kona Venkat? Pandaga Chesko is another slapstick comedy entertainer from the writer. If you still want to know the story line, well it is about a young NRI lad, who returns to India to unite his family, which is split due to various misunderstandings.
Ram made sure to maintain his usual ease in acting and graceful dances even in Pandaga Chesko, though the character does not offer anything new to Ram as an actor, he managed to excel.
Rakul Preet is quite impressive in the role Divya, an environmentalist and she gets ample screen time to show off her acting chops. She sparks in the first half with her unintentional comedy and disappears after a point with too many characters taking over the film. Sonal Chauhan pumps the glamour quotient in the film.
Brahmannandam, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Pruthvi, Shankar any too many other seasoned actors underplay the story and pulls off the film with their hilarious histrionics.
Director Gopichand Malineni and writer Kona Venkat relies completely on the tested formula of conflicting characters and unintentional comedy.
But Kona's experience in dealing these cliched conflicts, after writing the same for a dozen films, surely worked in favor of Pandaga Chesko. Racy screenplay and Thaman's massy fast beat numbers did a stunning job. Camera work, back ground score, editing and styling were the ones to talk about in Pandaga Chesko, other than comedy.
The characters and the story leaves a sense of dejavu since you have seen them before in hundreds of films. But, what matters is how well the director blended it with entertainment. Gopichand Malineni succeeds in producing two hours of laugh riot and that's all it takes to make a successful film in Telugu. Watch Pandaga Chesko to experience a comedy festival.
Movie opens up with Ram's voice over followed by high octane action sequence.
