the

was
successful
in
scoring
a
hit
like
Simha
or
Legend.
Rating:
2.5/5
Overview:
Dictator
is
of
course,
a
feast
for
Balayya
fans
and
a
mass
perfect
entertainer
in
the
festive
season.
But,
the
question
is
how
many
more
formulaic
and
lacklustre
movies
are
we
still
going
to
enjoy?

the
drawbacks,

and
the
story,
performance
and
technical
aspects

below
the
slides.
Balakrishna
Balakrishna
was
the
only
saving
grace
in
the
film
as
every
other
actor
displays
over-enthusiasm
and
weird
histrionics,
either
in
the
name
of
the
comedy
or
violence.
Anjali
Though
only
appears
in
the
second
half
as
Kathyayani,
she
delivered
an
impressive
performance.
Anjali
and
Balakrishna
makes
a
good
pair
on-screen.
What's
Up
Baby
Sonal
Chauhan,
though
has
nothing
much
to
do,
she
was
hot
in
'What's
up
Baby' song.
Balakrishna
and
Sonal
paired
up
for
the
second
time
after
their
super
hit
film
Legend.
Story
While
the
screenplay
of
the
film
was
exactly
like
that
of
Simha,
Lion
and
Legend,
they
made
a
few
changes
in
the
story
of
the
film.
Run
Time
Though
155
minutes
is
a
decent
run
time,
the
film
feels
lengthy
as
it
gets
predictable.
Rathi
Balakrishna
was
amazing
in
a
scene
where
he
is
seen
having
a
heated
conversation
with
Rathi.
The
actress
complimented
the
actor
very
well
in
a
powerful
role.

Dictator
Story:
Balakrishna,
who
works
in
Dharma
supermarket,
happens
to
meet
Sonal
Chauhan,
an
aspiring
actress.
The
story
moves
forward
as
goons
kidnap
Sonal,
to
trace
her
brother,
a
Narcotic
Officer
who
busted
the
drugs
case
involving
a
minister's
son.
The
twist
in
the
tale
arise
as
Balakrishna
fights
the
goons
to
save
Sonal
Chauhan.
Balakrishna,
who
is
living
a
normal
life
as
Chandu,
is
none
than
other
Chandrasekhar
Dharma,
the
owner
of
Dharma
group
of
companies.
Then
what
makes
him
live
away
from
his
family
and
wealth?
What
roles
do
Anjali
and
Aksha
have
in
Balakrishna's
life?
You
have
to
watch
the
film
to
untie
the
knot.
Performances:
Balakrishna,
like
always
enthralled
the
audiences
with
his
power-packed
performance.
His
moves
in
'Gana
Gana' song
will
surely
make
you
hoot.
Anjali
delivered
a
decent
performance
in
the
key
role,
though
her
screen
time
has
been
compromised.
Sonal
Chauhan
added
the
glamour
quotient
and
Suman,
Rathi
and
a
few
other
seasoned
actors
were
impressive
enough.
Once
again,
Boiling
Star
Prudhvi
was
succesful
in
making
audiences
go
berserk
with
his
funny
traits.
Technical
Aspects:
It
is
so
disappointing
to
see
yet
another
routine
potboiler
coming
from
Telugu
film-makers,
though
it
is
entertaining
at
parts,
thanks
to
Balakrishna's
roaring
performance.
Deafening
punch
dialogues
by
M
Rathnam
literally
feels
like
some
boomerangs.
The
entire
first
half
is
a
lead
up
to
the
interval
twist
and
sets
a
plot
for
an
intense
drama
in
the
second
half.
But
there
is
a
constant
feeling
of
nostalgia
throughout
the
film.
Music
by
Thaman
boosts
the
energy
of
the
crowd.
There
is
less
bloodshed
compared
to
Balayya's
previous
blockbusters
Simha
and
Legend.
Looks
like,
director
Sriwass'
only
motive
was
to
satisfy
the
actor's
fans
and
he
failed
to
create
any
interest
in
normal
audience,
with
his
work.
Story
by
Kona
Venkat
is
just
a
rehash
of
all
Balayya's
recent
flicks.
Production
Values
and
Cinematography
were
ok.
On
the
whole,
we
can
say
that
while
Nannaku
Prematho
meant
to
entertain
multiplex
audiences,
another
movie
from
the
Nandamuri
family,
Dictator
is
exclusively
for
B
and
C
center
crowds.
