Oka Manasu Story

The film depicts the love between two beautiful souls Surya and Sandhya, who are blindly in love. But that was just not enough for their lives to be content. The conflict points comes in the form of Surya's father, whose ambition was to see Surya as an MLA.

On his mission to become a political leader, Surya lands up in jail and it eventually messes up his life. How did Sandhya treat the hassle that life has thrown at her, forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Naga Sharuya clearly has given his best for the film and his performance during emotional scenes will leave you teary eyed. Needless to say, he was on point in love scenes. Niharika Konidela did a matured job, getting into the shoes of a woman like Sandhya.

She has managed to leave aside her bubbly image and pulled off a heavy-duty character, quiet decently. Rao Ramesh is at his usual best and Pragathi delivered what she is good at.

Technical Aspects & Analysis:

Oka Manasu owes a lot to its music director Sunil Kashyap for the splendid background score and soothing tunes. It will surely haunt you for a while, irrespective of your take on the film. However, director Rama Raju failed to execute any feel, in spite of having a lead pair with an unusual chemistry.

The bland scenes and 'trying to be poetic' dialogues written between the lead pair will test your patience and the repetitive conversations killed the essence (if it has created any). It can be understood that a few love stories demands to be dealt in a slow manner, but Oka Manasu was a complete bore.

Cinematography and art department needs a special mention for setting up a beautiful mood for the film. Oka Manasu sure has a potentially good story, but the dragging narrative style made it lustreless.

Overview:

Life would really be great if it is just two people looking into each other's eyes and hugging tight, while a really good background score playing in the mind, at the beach side. But sadly, Oka Manasu is a film.
