Khaidi No 150 Movie Review: A Party Time For All Chiranjeevi Fans!

After a long wait, the Megastar of Tollywood, Chiranjeevi is back with a bang through Khaidi No 150, which has hit the theatres today (January 11, 2017). The film directed by V V Vinayak, has been produced by Ram Charan Teja.

The film is an official remake of Vijay starrer Kaththi, directed by A R Murugadoss. Megastar has chosen a film with a strong plot as his comeback movie. Has he and the film hit the right chords? Read on to know more..

Synopsis

Khaidi No 150 is about a prisoner named Seenu, who is a real master mind. He escapes from prison and ventures in to a new place. But what awaits him there are some serious issues, which bring about a change in him. How does he tackle it and turn out to be a saviour, form the rest of the story.

Chiranjeevi

Well, the Megastar movies never disappoint his fans. The same is applicable with Khaidi No 150. The movie is a definite treat for all the fans of Chiranjeevi, with the star shining in action, comedy, emotional and dance sequences alike. He has done his best to portray the twin roles with perfection.

Director - V V Vinayak

The actress looked extremely gorgeous but she just remains as an eye-candy and didn't have much to perform in the movie. Her character could have been developed a bit more. However, she has done a neat job with whatever she had to perform.

Kajal Agarwal

Brahmanandam

Brahmanandam has delivered what was expected from him. He has got a role specially written for him and almost all his comedy numbers have struck the right chords with the audiences.

Tarun Arora

Tarun Arora, who was previously seen in Tamil film Kanithan, appears as the business tycoon who locks horns with Seenu. The actor has given an intense performance and is a perfect onsreen foe for the Megastar.

Music & BGM - Devi Sri Prasad

DSP has set up his trademark tunes for the film. The songs ‘Sundari' and ‘You And Me' are candy and look good on screen. ‘Rathalu' is a failed attempt to be a peppy number but has been saved by Chiranjeevi's amazing moves.

Cinematography - R Rathnavelu

Renowned cinematographer R Rathnavelu has put in his experience to play and has come up successful in setting some frames that are much required for a mass entertainer.

Overall View

Khaidi No 150 has turned out to be an apt comeback vehicle for Chiranjeevi. The film has a strong story and looks in to the serious issue of farmer suicides and the involvements of corporates in them. The movie has the correct platform for a star like Chiranjeevi to perform to full extent.

On the flip side, more concentration should have been given to the screenplay department as there were many forced comedy sequences, which are enjoyable, but affects the flow of the movie. The product would have been a more refined one if such unwanted sequences were removed.

But still, Khaidi No 150 will cater perfectly to the entertainment needs in you. And the major chunk of credit goes to Chiranjeevi, who has defied age and given an energetic performance taking the audiences along with him. Add to it some interesting cameos, the film is sure to keep you engaged.
