After
the
overwhelming
response
garnered
for
the
trailer
and
promo
videos,
the
Akkineni
Naga
Chaitanya
&
Anu
Emmanuel
starrer,
Shailaja
Reddy
Alludu
has
hit
screens
on
the
occasion
of
Vinayaka
Chaturthi.
In
what
promises
to
be
a
tale
of
ego
clash
between
3
characters,
Shailaja
Reddy
Alludu
is
said
to
have
all
the
ingredients
to
classify
itself
as
a
neat
family
entertainer.
Let's
find
out
what
the
movie
has
in
the
offering.
Chaitu
(Naga
Chaitanya)
is
a
son
of
a
rich
entrepreneur
who
is
a
representation
of
ego
and
attitude.
Chaitu
on
the
other
hand,
falls
in
love
with
Anu
(Anu
Emmanuel)
who
is
a
replica
of
Chaitu's
father
as
the
swanky
beautiful
lady
is
another
ego
filled
character.
Chaitu
gets
in
constant
quest
of
impressing
his
lovely
lady
with
the
assistance
of
Chary
(Vennela
Kishore)
where
he
finally
scores
well
by
impressing
her.
Chaitu's
father
gives
a
nod
to
the
wedding
in
order
to
satiate
his
ego
thirst
which
goes
by
without
getting
a
consent
or
providing
an
information
to
Anu's
mother,
Shailaja
Reddy(Ramyakrishnan).
The
story
is
simple
and
convening
at
the
word
go,
however,
the
execution
is
not
so
flattering.
The
ego
clashes
between
main
characters
seem
a
bit
exaggerated
and
unnecessary
at
many
instances.
Director
Maruthi's
main
strength
is
the
comedy
track
which
he
excels
in
general.
It
is
in
Shailaja
Reddy
Alludu,
where
he
seems
to
have
lost
the
grip
and
appears
to
head
haywire.
The
comedy
neither
works
nor
the
emotion.
A
lot
of
Atta-Alludu
movies
have
come
and
conquered
in
the
past,
as
the
template
invites
such
a
response.
Shailaja
Reddy
Alludu
could
have
joined
that
bandwagon
if
better
care
was
taken.
Going
by
the
title
of
the
movie,
Atta's
(Shailaja)
characterization
was
expected
to
be
prevailing
while
Alludu's
(Chaitu)
character
to
come
out
winning
over
Atta
in
a
diligent
manner.
None
seems
to
happen
over
the
entire
course
of
movie.
Music
by
Gopi
Sunder
is
alright
and
is
a
decent
fit
in
the
overall
movie.
Rest
of
the
crew
is
adequate
without
troubling
the
critics
much
or
enabling
audience
to
speak
about
them.
Ramya
Krishnan
should
have
stood
as
a
highlight
of
the
movie
for
her
supposed
characterization
as
Shailaja
Reddy.
Thanks
to
an
exhausted
sketch
and
a
not
so
powerful
appeal,
she
doesn't
score
much
as
expected.
Naga
Chaitanya
is
good
but
not
the
best.
Anu
Emmanuel
appears
as
a
glam
doll
rendering
some
bright
moments
on
screen,
without
creating
much
impact
with
her
performance.
Venella
Kishore
is
just
okay
as
comedy
writing
just
works
in
parts
and
not
in
the
overall
flow.
Shailaja
Reddy
Alludu
isn't
an
expected
fun-filled
cat-mouse
kind
of
movie
which
keeps
the
audience
ticking.
It
often
checks
the
patience
and
thus,
ends
up
as
a
mediocre
experience.
