Plot
The
story
follows
Tuck
Jagadish
(Nani)
who
returns
to
his
village
to
reunite
with
his
family-
his
father
(Nassar),
brother
Bose
(Jagapathi
Babu),
stepmother
and
step-siblings.
Things
take
a
turn
for
the
worse
when
his
father
leaves
for
his
heavenly
abode
and
Bose
betrays
his
family
by
taking
over
the
entire
property
which
was
meant
to
be
divided
among
his
siblings.
Jagadish,
who
is
the
common
link
between
the
family
members
is
left
with
no
other
choice
but
to
change
the
state
of
affairs.
Will
he
be
able
to
bring
his
sundered
family
under
one
roof?
Well,
to
know
that
you
will
have
to
watch
Tuck
Jagadish
on
Amazon
Prime
Video
right
away.
Story
and
Direction
No
doubt,
Shiva
has
tried
to
put
forth
a
fresh
idea
with
Tuck
Jagadish,
however,
the
treatment,
to
be
precise
the
cliched
sequences
and
slow-paced
storyline
lets
down
the
film
big
time.
The
film
surely
has
a
strong
message
but
as
the
foundation
itself
is
weak,
the
drama
falls
flat
at
places.
The
first
half
of
the
film
has
nothing
much
to
offer.
Even
Nani's
sporadic
one-liners
don't
do
the
job.
The
second
half
of
the
film
is
completely
power-packed,
and
this
is
the
only
time
where
we
see
Nani
exploring
his
character,
however
not
so
deep.
It
is
only
after
the
intermission
that
we
see
the
film
taking
a
new
turn
as
the
story
develops
and
every
other
character
starts
to
bloom.
Given
that
Tuck
Jagadish
is
a
family
drama,
the
director
has
made
the
best
use
of
a
vibrant
colour
palette,
high
dose
of
emotions
and
heart-rending
music
that
gels
well
with
the
story.
Performances
Nani:
Known
for
his
natural
acting
stints,
the
star
has
yet
again
shined
bright
with
his
performance,
this
time
as
Tuck
Jagadish.
His
voice
modulation
and
dialogue
delivery
deserve
huge
applause.
However,
his
characterization
seems
loosely
written
and
even
his
brilliant
acting
chops
fail
at
times
to
move
the
film
forward.
Interestingly,
his
chemistry
with
Ritu
Varma
looks
fresh
and
captivating.
Jagapathi
Babu:
The
versatile
actor's
intense
performance
and
combination
sequences
with
Nani
are
praiseworthy.
Also,
Jagapathi
has
tried
his
best
to
emanate
all
essence
of
his
character
and
it
is
evident
in
the
film.
Ritu
Varma
and
Aishwarya
Rajesh:
Though
short,
the
duo
has
been
given
important
characters
and
it
is
safe
to
say
that
the
two
actresses
have
done
an
impressive
job
in
the
given
time.
Technical
Aspects
Prasad
Murella's
cinematography
is
at
its
best.
Each
and
every
frame
from
the
start
till
the
end
makes
us
want
to
visit
the
beautiful
Bhudevipuram.
The
serene,
scenic
and
vibrant
cinematography
has
added
more
depth
to
the
story.
Similarly,
Thaman's
music
has
also
done
complete
justice
to
the
film,
and
trust
us
you
wouldn't
really
want
to
skip
the
songs
while
watching
Tuck
Jagadish.
Editor
Prawin
Pudi
has
also
done
a
fine
job
with
his
editing
scissors.
Overall
the
technical
standards
of
the
film
are
impressive.
Verdict
Tuck
Jagadish
is
pleasant
but
high
on
clichés.
The
film
is
doubtlessly
an
old
wine
in
a
new
bottle,
however,
Nani's
brilliant
acting
chops
make
it
a
passable
entertainer.
