Megastar Chiranjeevi's latest family-action drama, Bhola Shankar, directed by Meher Ramesh hit the screens all over the world on August 11. The movie is an official remake of the Tamil film Vedalam.

After much anticipation and decent expectations from fans, Bhola Shankar is receiving mixed responses and average word-of-mouth from the mega fans as well as the film buffs. Despite the movie's core plot being tweaked for nativity purposes, it failed to hold the attention and interest of the viewer.

The movie opened in the USA at 12.30 IST on August 11. Several enthusiastic fans who watched the movie have shared their opinion on Bhola Shankar on YouTube channels.

Going by the video posted on Mana Stars YouTube channel, Chiranjeevi's Bhola Shankar is a routine fare with bland narration and not-so-great comedy.

A viewer said, "Average and old wine in a new bottle. There is no story, only action and comedy from Chiranjeevi worked well."

An elderly couple said, "We liked the movie. Dialogues, Chiranjeevi's action, comedy, and mass are satisfied. Chiranjeevi is a proper entertainer and the sentiment was great."

"The movie is super. I missed Chiranjeevi on the screen for 10 years. Now, I am fulfilled. Proper Chiranjeevi fan fest, said a fan who watched the movie abroad.

A fan who was filmed coming out of the screens had to say, "There is another old-time Chiranjeevi back on the screen. Music, especially the background score by Mahati Swara Sagar is one of the main positive aspects of the film."

"Bring down your expectations and just watch it casually with family over the weekend," opined another viewer.

Another mega fan commented, "Meher Ramesh, please quit making films. We watched only for our Boss. The director didn't know what to do with the movie and didn't use Chiranjeevi to his potential. The film has the worst comedy. The music was good. I give a 0.5 rating. Chiranjeevi has the grace, and talent, and did his job as required but the director failed."
