Chhaava Telugu Twitter (X) Review: Vicky Kaushal & Rashmika Mandanna's Action Film Opens Amid Controversy
Chhaava Telugu X Review: Laxman Utekar's directorial historical drama, a story depicted about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's successor, Chhatrapati Sambhaji, is titled Chhaava. The movie is based on a book titled 'Chhaava,' and stars Vicky Kaushal in the title role. The movie unleashed a box office storm in Bollywood after its release on February 14.
The movie already surpassed Rs 500 Crore in India and Rs 668.40 Crore at the worldwide box office within three weeks. With no better films playing in theatres, Chhaava is continuing to hold with solid strength. Given the success, Geetha Arts banner bought the Telugu dubbing rights to the film and it opened to a decent pre-release buzz and a bit of controversy on March 7 across the two Telugu states.
Ahead of the movie's Telugu release, a complaint was lodged with the Nellore district collector by the Muslim Federation of Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of Mohammed Zia-ul-Haq, objecting to the release for misrepresenting the historical facts. On the other hand, both Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika have released videos asking the Telugu audiences to encourage Chhaava.
Telugu Audience REACT To Chhaava
As the TFI has a non-competitive week at the box office, along with Chhaava Telugu, another super hit Malayalam movie 'Officer On Duty' was also dubbed and released. A section of audience who watched the cinema opined that the dubbing for characters in Chhaava didn't really sit well with the emotion of the film, making it look a tedious watch on the screen. However, there are also highly positive reactions for the dubbing, which elevated the experience of watching a Bollywood film on a Telugu screen. Check out some of the interesting tweets about Chhaava Telugu.
