Laila Twitter (X) Review: Amid 'Boycott' trends, Vishwak Sen's latest romantic comedy titled 'Laila,' hit the screens worldwide on February 14. The movie's pre-release event gave rise to several unnecessary negative campaigns by a section of netizens for alleged political remarks. Despite a public apology through a press meeting, the actor seemed to have stirred the issue up with his controversial post on Instagram. The movie is shrouded in memes and negative comments and is trending with more than 110K posts on X (formerly Twitter) with the hashtag #DisasterLaila.

Ahead of the film's theatrical debut, Vishwak Sen finally tried to damage control by releasing a video where he spoke about how he has come this far without background in the industry, urging people to support Laila. Even otherwise, the movie opened to a negative response with many audiences calling it 'worst' and 'most cringe' among other things.

Laila Synopsis

According to the film's trailer, Laila is the story of a wanna-be model Sonu, a hairdresser. His courageous rift with a local rowdy makes him a target. As many groups begin to hunt him down, he changes his look into a woman named Laila, thereby luring everyone who wants to kill Sonu.

The movie stars Vishwak Sen in two roles- Sonu Model and Laila. In addition, the romantic entertainer has Aakanksha Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Ravi Mariya, Nagineedu, Harsha Vardhan, Brahmaji, Babloo Prithveeraj, Raghu Babu, Abhimanyu Singh, and Vineet Kumar among others in key roles.

Written by Vasudeva Murthy, the movie was directed by Ram Narayan. Sahu Garapati produced it under the Shine Screens banner. Richard Prasad and Sagar Dadi worked as the film's cinematographer and editor. Leon James composed the film's entire background score and music.
