Thandel First Review Out Now: Naga Chaitanya's latest survival romantic action drama written and directed by 'Karthikeya 2' fame Chandoo Mondeti is titled Thandel. The movie marks the second collaboration of Sai Pallavi with Naga Chaitanya after 'Love Story' and carries high expectations. Produced by Bunny Vas and Allu Arjun on a high budget, the movie based on the real-life of a fisherman, is going to hit the screens worldwide on February 7. The theatrical trailer is going to be released today (Jan 28).

The makers of Thandel at first wanted to bring the movie to the big screens on December 28. They later moved it to Sankranti. However, many big releases have lined up for these dates and they had no choice but to move to February. Finally, February 7 has been announced as the official day of release.

For Thandel movie, Allu Aravind spent Rs 85 Crore, the highest for a Naga Chaitanya-led project. Reportedly, the digital, satellite, and Hindi distribution rights recovered about Rs 45 Crore already.

Allu Aravind watched the final edit copy of the movie and reportedly gave a thumbs-up, hinting at the positive outcome. He reportedly said, "Dhullakottesindi" which means fantastic in Srikakulam slang.

The movie stars Sai Pallavi as Satya and Naga Chaitanya as Thandel Raju, a fisherman. Karthik Theeda wrote the movie's story and Shamdat Sainudeen is behind the stunning visuals. Naveen Nooli worked as the film's editor. Devi Sri Prasad's music for the film is already a blockbuster with the three tracks becoming super successful.
