Thandel Trailer Review: Starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi for the second time in a romantic survival drama based on true events, Thandel is the movie co-written and directed by 'Karthikeya 2' fame Chandoo Mondeti. The theatrical trailer of the movie was dropped on Jan 28 and it met with positive feedback from movie buffs, netizens, and critics. The movie is going to be released worldwide on February 7.

Thandel is going to have a theatrical release in Tamil and Hindi along with Telugu. The trailer amplified the expectations ahead of the release and set the right tone for pre-release buzz. The movie's digital and satellite business has also been done with the makers making around Rs 45 Crore. The trailer received appreciation for performances, full dose of romantic and love angle, and sensational background score by Devi Sri Prasad.

Thandel On Feb 7

The makers of Thandel at first wanted to bring the movie to the big screens on December 28. They later moved it to Sankranti. However, many big releases have lined up for these dates and they had no choice but to move to February. Finally, February 7 has been announced as the official day of release. The movie is also going to have a release in Tamil and Hindi.

Thandel Synopsis

The movie is based on a real-life incident that happened in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. A fisherman who crosses the border and enters international waters is arrested by Pakistan forces. His life and love, his courageous fight to return home, is all about Thandel.

Karthik Theeda co-wrote the movie along with the director Chandoo Mondeti. The movie carries high hopes as Chandoo scored his career's biggest hit, a pan-India success with 'Karthikeya 2.'

For Naga Chaitanya, Thandel is going to be a special film as he shed his inhibition to play the rustic and mass character of Thandel Raju, a fisherman. However, with Sai Pallavi on the side, the actor must put in a bit of extra work to look effortless and impress the movie buffs. The actor is awaiting a proper hit to put him back on the track. In addition, Thandel is going to be his first release post his second marriage to actress Sobhita Dhulipala.
