Story
Set in Meiji-era Matsue, Toki is a quirky girl from a once-proud samurai family now struggling with poverty after her father’s failed business. To make ends meet, she becomes a maid for a foreign English teacher of Greek-Irish descent, who, after being abandoned as a child, has always felt out of place. Despite cultural differences and language barriers, Toki and her new boss bond over their shared love of ghost stories and their similar struggles. Together, they embark on a peculiar journey filled with eccentric characters and, of course, plenty of ghostly tales. Based on the true story of Koizumi Setsuko (小泉節子), the wife of Koizumi Yakumo (小泉八雲), whose birth name is Patrick Lafcadio Hearn.

Story
Act I: Forest officer Arjun (Prithviraj Sukumaran) is assigned to a remote forest station in Kerala. Initially seen as a routine posting, he soon discovers unusual activities in the protected forest area. Strange disappearances of wildlife and suspicious movements of outsiders catch his attention.
Act II: As Arjun investigates deeper, he uncovers a sophisticated wildlife trafficking network operating under the cover of a legitimate timber business. Maya (Parvathy Thiruvothu), a wildlife photographer, becomes his ally in exposing the truth. Together, they gather evidence while facing increasing threats from the criminals.
Act III: The investigation leads to a high-stakes confrontation in the heart of the forest. Arjun must use his knowledge of the terrain and wildlife to outmaneuver the traffickers. The climax showcases spectacular action sequences while highlighting the importance of environmental conservation.
