5 Big-budget Malayalam Movies Releasing In The Second Half Of 2023

Dulquer Salmaan's upcoming pan-Indian film 'King Of Kotha' is scheduled to hit the theater on August 24, 2023. Directed Abhilash Joshiy, the movie has been bankrolled by Dulquer Salmaan under the banner of his production house Wayfarer Films. As per the reports, the film will be made with budget of Rs 50 crore. 'King Of Kotha'is touted to be gangster drama, it stars Dulquer Salmaan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prasanna and Chemban Vinod in lead roles.

After the success of block-buster hit '2018', Tovino Thomas will be next seen in his upcoming movie 'Ajayantea Randaam Moashanam'. The big budget movie which is directed by Jithin Lal, features Tovino Thomas, Krithi Shetty , Aishwarya Rajesh and Surabhi Lekshmi in central roles. Ajayantea Randaam Moashanam is a historic period drama, is set in the three different time period and will feature Tovino Thomas in the tripple role. As per the reports, the film will be released in theaters in this year. How ever, the makers have not confirmed any official announcement yet.

This mass-thriller movie written and directed by veteran scriptwriter later Kaloor Deeni's son Deeno and will feature Megastar Mammootty in the lead role. Apart from Mammootty, prominent Tamil filmmaker and actor Gautham Vasudev Menon will be seen in a key role in the movie. Bazooka is a big budget movie, produced by Yoodlee Films, the film studio arm of Saregama India Limited and is co-produced by Theatre of Dreams. On the technical front, Nimish Ravi handled the cinematography and Nishadh Yusuf is the editor. Midhun Mukundan composed music for the movie.

Bandra is an upcoming movie of actor Dileep which will be released in this year. Directed by Arun Gopy, it also marks the his second collaboration with actor Dileep after 'Ramleela'. Meanwhile, the film marks the debut of actress Tamannaah Bhatia in Malayalam cinema. Scripted by Udaya Krishna, it features actors Sarath Kumar, Dino Morea, Rajveer Ankur Singh, Amit Tiwari and Easwari Rao among others.

Mohanlal's Malakottai Vaaliban is one of the most anticipated movies of 2023. Helmed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, 'Malakottai Vaaliban' will feature actor Mohanlal in dual role. It also marks first collaboration of Lijo Jose Pellissery with actor Mohanlal. The final schedule of Vaaliban, which is described as a period drama based on a myth, is progressing in Chennai. The film is one of the most expensive films ever made in Malayalam, which marks the debut of Bollywood actress Sonali Kulkarni. The release date of Vaaliban has not been announced.
