According to reports, the film is slated for theatrical release in UAE on March 28, 2024.  The release will span eight distinct locations, carefully chosen to maximize accessibility and audience reach. Among these venues are prominent landmarks such as City Centre Ajman, Al Hamra Mall in Ras Al Khaimah, and the iconic Abu Dhabi Mall situated in the heart of the capital. The theatrical release of the film in other countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait remains uncertain. Reports suggest that the movie has encountered censorship challenges in these regions, potentially affecting its distribution and screening.

The movie, based on a true story, is an adaptation of the bestselling novel 'Aadujeevitham' by Benyamin. The book was previously banned in two Gulf countries due to its Arabic translation, reportedly portraying Arab traditions in a negative light. This depiction is also cited as a reason behind the movie's ban in Gulf countries.

The banning of artworks depicting negative representations of Arabs and their cultural practices is a recurring trend in Gulf countries. In 2011, Kamal's Malayalam film 'Gaddama', which depicted the hardships endured by a Malayali housemaid under an Arabic sponsor and her subsequent escape, faced a similar restriction.

Prithviraj Sukumaran's 'Aadujeevitham' is highly anticipated as a Pan-Indian film this year. Directed by Blessy and featuring music by A.R. Rahman, the movie stars Amala Paul in a leading role and is set to release in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi languages.
