Always May 1st will be celebrated in grand manner by Ajith Kumar's fans and this time its more special year as Ajith Kumar's blockbuster movie Billa is all set to re-release in record number of theaters 150 screens. Ajith Kumar played Don role for the first time. Billa became blockbuster success both in critics as well as at box-office.
The movie directed by Vishnuvardhan was an action thriller, serving as a remake of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth's hit film of the same title. Rajini's movie was, in turn, a remake of the Hindi film 'Don'. Ajith's rendition featured Nayanthara and Namitha in pivotal roles, supported by actors like Prabhu, Rahman, John Vijay, and others. With music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Nirav Shah, and editing by A Sreekar Prasad, 'Billa' left its mark in the industry.
In Kollywood, clashes between Ajith Kumar and Vijay are common, and now the trend extends to re-releases in the Tamil industry. Following the success of Vijay's 'Ghilli' re-release, which earned Rs 20 crore worldwide, Ajith's fans are eager to surpass that record with the re-release of 'Billa'.
