Wamiqa Gabbi had a brief but notable role in the iconic Bollywood film Jab We Met (2007). Although her role was small, it marked Wamiqa’s first appearance in a Bollywood movie at the young age of 14. Wamiqa Gabbi appeared in the 2011 film Mausam, directed by Pankaj Kapur and starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. In the movie, Wamiqa played a supporting role as a character named Sadiya, who is involved in the film's sub-plot.

Wamiqa Gabbi appeared in the 2013 film Sixteen, which was a coming-of-age drama directed by Raj Purohit. In the movie, she portrayed the character of a young girl, part of a group of teenagers grappling with the challenges of adolescence, including issues of love, relationships, peer pressure, and self-discovery.

The film, which tells the story of India's historic victory at the 1983 Cricket World Cup, stars Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev. Wamiqa played the role of Sushmita, the wife of cricketer Mohinder Amarnath (played by Nishant Dahiya).
