Before Saif Ali Khan, These Bollywood Celebrities Faced Robbery Incidents

In 2013, two domestic workers employed by Bollywood star couple Ajay Devgn and Kajol were involved in a theft at their suburban Juhu residence. They stole 17 gold bangles valued at ₹5.10 lakhs. The incident was quickly addressed, and the culprits were apprehended by the police.

In 2001, Amitabh Bachchan shared an incident with Filmfare, he shared a horrific story of a robbery when he was in Boston, USA. Thives snatched his briefcase which included his passport, money, letters from his parents and postcards from his kids. He felt helpless after this incident.  

Recently, Bollywood actress Poonam Dillon was robbed by robbers. They stole a diamond necklace worth Rs 1 Lakh, 35 thousand rupees cash and some dollars from Poonam’s house. Police caught the robber, identified as a painting crew member. 

Shilpa Shetty faced the misfortune of being robbed twice, once in 2023 and again in 2024. In 2024, Shilpa Shetty’s BMW Z4 was stolen from the parking lot of her restaurant, leaving the actress stunned. In 2023, Shilpa Shetty’s house was robbed while she and her husband were out of India. Valuables were stolen, and the incident raised concerns about security in celebrity homes.

In 2016, Sonam Kapoor faced a distressing incident when her diamond necklace, worth ₹5 lakhs, was stolen from her residence. The stunning piece of jewelry had been kept in her bedroom drawer after she wore it to a party that same evening. Despite thorough investigations and efforts to recover it, the necklace remains missing to this day. 

In 2012, Sushmita Sen, faced a shocking incident when her house was robbed when she was on an exotic vacation in Greece. This unfortunate event was a reminder that even Bollywood’s most glamorous stars can be subjected to such unforeseen challenges.
