Movies like Emergency, Son of Sardaar 2, The Bhoothni, and more struggled due to mixed reviews, weak word of mouth, or stiff competition. While these films didn’t achieve commercial success, many were appreciated later for their performances, storytelling, or intent. Emergency

Emergency is a Hindi biographical film about former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the Emergency she declared in India from 1975 to 1977. The movie shows how civil rights were stopped, the press was controlled, and many opposition leaders were jailed, along with Indira Gandhi’s personal challenges and her son Sanjay Gandhi’s actions. Kangana Ranaut plays Indira Gandhi, and the story ends with her assassination in 1984. The film did not do well at the box office.

Sikandar (2025)

Sikandar (2025) stars Salman Khan as Sanjay “Sikandar” Rajkot, a man driven by personal loss to change his life and help others, bringing him into conflict with a powerful politician. The film also features Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi. Despite crossing ₹100 crore at the Indian box office, the film was a flop due to its high ₹200 crore budget.
