First Look Poster Announcement
After the film was announced in 2022, the makers have released the first look of 'Dhoomam'on April 17, 2023. The newly released intense poster features Fahadh Faasil with his mouth taped. While actress Aparna Balamurali who appeared in female lead in the movie, looks quite traumatized and scared. Helmed by Pawan Kumar, 'Dhoomam' is one of the highly anticipated movies releasing this year.
'Dhoomam' Marks Fourth Directorial Of Pawan Kumar
Touted to be a suspense thriller drama, 'Dhoomam' marks fourth directorial of Pawan Kumar after U Turn. Pawan is best known for his innovative film ideas. He made his directorial debut in 2011 with Lifeu Ishtene was well-received by audience as well as critics . After then he directed another movie titled ' Lucia' that tells the story of a man, suffering from isomania. The film was released in theaters in 2013, had declared as a box-office hit and earned Rs 3 crores at the box-office.
Fahadh-Aparna Balamurali Collaboration
Fahadh Faasil is currently working on the suspense thriller drama 'Dhoomam' which marks the reunion of actor with Aparna Balamurali after success of 'Maheshintea Prathikaram'. Written and directed by Pawan Kumar, it also features Joy Mathew, Achyuth Kumar, Vineeth and Roshan Mathew in the key roles.
Production
The much-awaited film 'Dhoomam' will be produced by Vijay Kirgandur under the banner of Homable films. It marks second announcement from Homable films into the Malayalam film industry, after the announcement of Prithviraj's 'Tyson'. Apart from 'Dhoomam', Homable films will produce pan Indian films like 'Salaar' and 'Yuva'.
Budget & Release
Made on a big-budget, the film 'Dhoomam' begins shooting on 9th October 2022 and wrapped on 13th January 2023.Poornachandra Tejaswi composed music for the film. According to reports, the pan-India film will be released in theaters in 4 languages .The much-anticipated film stars Aparna Balamurali as the female lead, while Joy Mathew and Roshan Mathew will be seen playing prominent roles.
