Eight Undiscovered Facts About Jiah Khan's Ex-lover Sooraj Pancholi

Born in Lucknow, Uttarpradesh, Sooraj Pancholi is the son of Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi and actress Zarina Wahab. His grand father 'Ranjan Pancholi' is also a well-known film maker in the industry. Sooraj has a sister, Sana Pancholi who is elder than him. 

Sooraj who stepped into the industry as an assistant director in 2010 with 'Guzaarish'. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film which follows the story plot of  Spanish film 'The Sea Inside'. After then, he worked with director Kabir Khan for the film ' Ek Tha Tiger'. Starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, the film was a block-buster hit at the box-office. 

After a long wait, the actor who made his acting debut in 2015 with 'Hero'. Billed as a romantic movie, the film was directed by Nikhil Advani and produced Salman Khan under his production company Salman Khan Films. The film also marked the debut of actress Athiya Shetty. Apart from this, actor Aditya Pancholi  also appeared in a pivotal role in the movie . 

The actor is a great fan of Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. In an interview, Sooraj revealed that he loves to follow the actor Ranveer Singh's fashion sense and amazing acting skills. 

Apart from being an actor, Sooraj is a fitness freak. He often follows a strict diet plan and work out every single day to maintain his perfect physique. The actor always shared his work out session videos and pictures on Instagram. 

According to reports, the actor who had been started dating  late actress Jia Khan in 2012. The report shows that the couple had attended events and awards nights together several times. Later in 2013,   the shocking reports revealed that his girl friend and actress Jia Khan committed suicide at her residence in Juhu.

After the suicide of Jiah Khan,  a six-page letter written by Khan was found by Police at the site and later became central to the accusations against Sooraj. Later, police charges were framed against Pancholi in 2013 under Section 306 of the IPC. He was held into prison for around 22 days. On the same year,  Jiah's mother had moved the Bombay High Court and sought a CBI probe in the case while alleging that her daughter had been murdered. In 2014, the case was handed over to the CBI. 

After the rejection of trail court for Rabia's demand, the trial began in 2019. Later the case was reassigned to special  CBI court for the investigation in 2021. On April 28, 2023 the court acquits Sooraj in the case due to lack of evidence.
