Ek Din On OTT: Sai Pallavi And Junaid Khan’s Romantic Drama Is Streaming On This Platform

Ek Din is a romantic drama starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi that tells the story of a shy IT worker who gets a once-in-a-lifetime chance to live his dream when the woman he loves loses her memory for 24 hours; pretending to be her boyfriend, he spends a magical day with her, only to face the heartbreaking reality that she will forget everything by the next morning, turning their brief love story into a deeply emotional and bittersweet experience. 

The 2026 romantic drama Ek Din features Junaid Khan as Dinesh “Dino” Shrivastava and Sai Pallavi as Meera Ranganathan in the lead roles, supported by Kunal Kapoor in a special appearance as Nakul Bhasin and Kavin Dave as Samarjit “Sam” Hathiramani. The supporting cast includes Ojaswi Bhattarai, Reshma Shetty, Pragati Mishra, Astha Gulati, Jenifer Emmanuel, Neha Vyaso, Chakori Dwivedi, Samta Sagar, and Raju Patel. The film is directed by Sunil Pandey and written by Sneha Desai and Spandan Mishra, and is based on the 2016 Thai film One Day. 

Ek Din turned out to be a commercial disappointment at the box office, failing to recover its reported ₹25 crore budget despite the buzz around Sai Pallavi’s Hindi debut and backing from Aamir Khan Productions. The film opened to a weak ₹0.90–₹1.15 crore on Day 1 and collected around ₹2.50 crore over its opening weekend, eventually wrapping up its run within two weeks with a total India net of ₹3.79 crore and gross of ₹4.51 crore. With an additional ₹0.57 crore from overseas markets, the worldwide total stood at approximately ₹5.08 crore, leading to its final verdict being declared a flop, even bordering on a disaster. Ek Din follows Dinesh “Dino” Shrivastava, a shy and overlooked IT worker who secretly loves his colleague Meera, unaware of how to express his feelings while she is stuck in a complicated relationship with her married boss. During a company trip to Japan, a twist of fate changes everything when Meera suffers temporary 24-hour memory loss after an accident. Seizing the moment, Dino pretends to be her boyfriend, and together they spend a magical day exploring Japan, where Meera falls for his genuine kindness and love. However, as the day ends, Dino is left heartbroken knowing she will forget everything by morning, turning their beautiful one-day romance into a bittersweet memory.
