Five Outstanding Movies That Reveal Pa Ranjith’s Filmmaking Prowess

Filmmaker Ranjith is renowned for his poignant stories of oppression, and Thangalaan continues this tradition. Set in the Kolar Gold Fields, the film portrays the struggles of ordinary citizens who face exploitation first by landlords and later by the British. Featuring Chiyaan Vikram, Parvathy, and Malavika Mohanan, Thangalaan combines magical realism with powerful themes of oppression, untouchability, and inequality.
