From Marco to Mamangam, Unni Mukundan's Movies With Highest Box Office Earnings

Unni Mukundan's latest blockbuster Marco has emerged as his highest-grossing film of 2024. Directed by Haneef Adeni, the action thriller has surpassed Rs100 crore worldwide within just 25 days, marking Unni Mukundan’s grand entry into the prestigious 100 Crore Club. The film has witnessed phenomenal success both domestically and internationally, with its Hindi version contributing significantly to the overall earnings.

As per reports, the film has performed well at the box office, accumulating Rs 6.3 crores in domestic earnings. With strong audience reception and steady growth, its worldwide collection has now reached Rs 8.5 crores. 

Made on a modest budget of Rs 3.5 crore, the film, which hit theaters on December 30, 2022, emerged as a massive box office success, grossing nearly Rs 100 crore. Directed by Vishnu Sasi Shankar, the movie featured Unni Mukundan in the powerful role of Lord Ayyappa, resonating deeply with audiences and achieving remarkable commercial success.

Unni Mukundan’s Meppadiyan performed well at the box office and received critical acclaim, earning accolades at multiple film festivals, including the Bangalore International Film Festival. A major highlight was director Vishnu Mohan winning the Best Debut Director award, a recognition that came as a pleasant surprise to many.

Mamangam, directed by M. Padmakumar and produced by Venu Kunnappilly, is a historical drama featuring Mammootty, Unni Mukundan, and an ensemble cast. Released across 2,000 screens in 45 countries, the film grossed an impressive Rs 60.70 crore within its first four days of theatrical run.
