Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2024: Full Winners List Announced Ahead of Grand Ceremony

The Telangana government has reinstated the long-dormant State Film Awards under a new identity - Gaddar Telangana Film Awards - to honour the late cultural icon Gaddar. This move reaffirms the state's commitment to promoting regional cinema and celebrating its artistic voices.

The selection process was spearheaded by veteran actress Jayasudha, heading a panel of 15 members who reviewed over 1,200 entries. The panel ensured fairness and representation across mainstream, independent, and regional content.

    Best Film: Kalki 2898 AD

    Second Best: Pottel

    Third Best: Lucky Baskhar

    Best Director: Nag Ashwin (Kalki 2898 AD)

These wins reflect the innovation and storytelling prowess currently thriving in Telugu cinema.

    Best Actor: Allu Arjun (Pushpa 2)

    Best Actress: Nivetha Thomas (35 Chinna Katha Kadu)

    Best Supporting Roles: SJ Suryah and Saranya Pradeep 

From Bheems Ceciroleo’s rousing music in Razakar to Navin Nooli’s crisp editing in Lucky Baskhar, the awards also spotlighted behind-the-scenes brilliance. Winners across choreography, cinematography, makeup, and art direction proved that Telugu cinema is rich in every craft.

Best Book on Telugu Cinema: Mana Cinema First Reel by Rentala Jayadeva

Special Jury Awards: Recognized talents like Dulquer Salmaan, Ananya Nagalla, and Faria Abdullah for standout contributions that might have otherwise gone unnoticed.

The awards will culminate in a grand celebration at HICC, Hyderabad, where filmmakers, technicians, and actors will come together to honour cinematic excellence and the legacy of Gaddar.
