Greenland 2: Migration Is Now Streaming on This OTT Platform But There’s a Major Twist

Greenland 2: Migration is a 2026 post-apocalyptic survival thriller and the sequel to the 2020 hit Greenland. Directed by Ric Roman Waugh, the film hit theaters on January 9, 2026. While critics appreciated Gerard Butler’s performance and the film’s striking visuals, opinions were mixed, with some noting that the storyline felt more predictable and less realistic compared to the first part.

Directed by Ric Roman Waugh, Greenland 2: Migration is written by Chris Sparling and Mitchell LaFortune. The film stars Gerard Butler as John Garrity and Morena Baccarin as Allison Garrity, with Roman Griffin Davis taking over the role of their son Nathan Garrity, replacing Roger Dale Floyd from the first film. The cast also includes Amber Rose Revah as Dr. Amina, adding a new layer to the story’s survival journey.

Greenland 2: Migration has begun its digital release and is now available to rent or buy on Prime Video as part of its Premium Video on Demand (PVOD) release starting January 27, 2026, following its theatrical run. 

Greenland 2: Migration continues the story five years after the devastating Clarke comet wiped out most of humanity. The Garrity family is forced to leave their Greenland bunker when it collapses and journey across a ruined, frozen Earth in search of a new safe haven in southern Europe. Facing deadly natural disasters and violent human threats, they finally reach the healed Clarke Crater—a fertile, livable land though the journey ends tragically with John Garrity sacrificing his life so his family can survive.
