Hasee Toh Phasee Re-release: When To Watch Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra’s Rom-com Film

Hasee Toh Phasee (2014) is a Hindi romantic comedy-drama directed by Vinil Mathew, starring Sidharth Malhotra as Nikhil and Parineeti Chopra as the quirky Meeta. The story follows Nikhil, a businessman set to marry Karishma, who unexpectedly falls for her eccentric sister Meeta, known for her unusual habits. The film’s soundtrack by Vishal–Shekhar remains popular, featuring hits like the romantic ballad “Zehnaseeb” and the catchy tune “Ishq Bulaava.”

Hasee Toh Phasee (2014) is a collaboration between Dharma Productions and Phantom Films, directed by debutant Vinil Mathew. The film stars Sidharth Malhotra as Nikhil Bharadwaj, Parineeti Chopra as Dr. Meeta Solanki, and Adah Sharma as Karishma Solanki. The supporting cast includes Manoj Joshi, Sharat Saxena, Neena Kulkarni, Anil Mange, Sameer Khakhar, and Tinnu Anand. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, and Vikas Bahl.

Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra, the rom-com is set to return to theatres on March 6 at PVR INOX, nearly 12 years after its original release on February 7, 2014. Niharika Bijli, Lead Strategist at PVR INOX Limited, expressed excitement about collaborating again with Dharma Productions for the re-release of Hasee Toh Phasee.

Hasee Toh Phasee (2014) was a moderate commercial success, achieving a "Plus" status at the box office thanks to its controlled budget and strong performance in urban multiplexes across cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore. Made on a budget of approximately ₹20–27 crore, the film earned around ₹37.36 crore in India and ₹11.50 crore overseas, bringing its worldwide gross to ₹63.38 crore, with trade analysts deeming it an average-to-plus performer.

Hasee Toh Phasee follows two misfits, Nikhil, a struggling businessman engaged to Karishma, and her eccentric, genius sister Meeta, who returns home after seven years. During his wedding week, Nikhil must hide Meeta from the family, only to realize that while Karishma wants to change him, Meeta truly understands him. The sentimental guy and the quirky girl ultimately abandon the traditional wedding to embrace a life of adventure together.
